About Me

Welcome to my blog! I am a millennial stay-at-home mom in Louisville, Kentucky. This blog is my outlet to share the things about which I am most passionate. Classic children’s clothing, sewing, mothering, and possibly one day, travel. I am growing with this blog and am so glad you’ve chosen to come along for the ride.

Here’s a little about my journey in sewing and classic children’s clothing: When I was very young, my mom attempted to introduce me to sewing. She bought me a sewing machine and helped me choose a pattern. I went to town attempting to make an A-line skirt and like any young girl, refused to let my mom help. It was a complete failure. I lost interest in sewing and didn’t touch a sewing machine for years.

Things changed dramatically when I found out I was pregnant with my daughter. I fell in love with classic children’s clothing. Images of the young British royals, monogrammed bubbles, and pleated dresses quickly took over my Instagram feed.  I was unable to find the clothes I wanted her to wear and found myself yearning to make unique clothes specifically for her. I pulled out the long-forgotten sewing machine and haven’t put it away since.

As a stay-at-home mom, I have realized the value of having women friends who share their knowledge and research. Women are uniquely adept at gathering and disseminating tips and tricks to help better the lives of their family members and improve themselves. It is my goal to share what I’ve learned from other, wiser women, about sewing and mothering.

Welcome! Make sure to browse through my posts and let me know what you think!

My little family on Easter, 2018. This was my first attempt at smocking and constructing a Bishop for my little one. The bonnet is also smocked! You can find the pattern here: https://goo.gl/7LvG1A
