Australian Sourced, American Made. Sewing Up a Fun Blouse!

A week or so ago, a friend that I’ve made through social media @Becsewsthings sent me some of her most favorite things from Australia. Ellie Whittaker Studio fabric in the most gorgeous colors, Kylie and the Machine woven cloth labels, and an Australian Smocking book of smocking plates. To say I was excited was a bit of an understatement.

I almost immediately knew that I wanted to recreate one of Bec’s latest makes. She used the Style Arc Kennie to recreate Princess Katherine’s famous pink gingham blouse. She’s written an entire blog post tutorial about it here. I used her instructions to sew this

I do see myself have a nice subtle version of this top at some point in my future too but absolutely could not resist using this vibrant fun print for this top.

Then to add another touch of fun, I inserted this completely perfect tag!

Anyway, this post is short and sweet but I just had to share! Happy Sewing!

And…in case you need a good laugh…this is how I get photos in the backyard…
